Trails set up nicely after recent snow and Jerry's grooming. Firm and fast with good control. Overall best conditions of year with one exception: suggest avoiding east loop in woods - some rocks protruding (per Jerry).

The fields and first loop in the woods were groomed this morning for skate. The fields are in very good condition (good skis), and the woods are thin (rock skis).

Pretty thin snow coverage - skied upper fields. Nice to get out and enjoy winter scenery. Soft snow with areas of green grass showing after several passes - suggest holding out for trail to set up or for additional snow. Great effort by Jerry Gensch to get the season started!
