Ashwaubenon Camp June 15 to June 17

On June 15 through 17, Ashwaubenon Nordic Ski Team hosted U.S. Biathlon Team member and team alumna, Deedra Irwin for an in town Camp to kick off summer training. Irwin focused on next steps in skilled athlete development, offering strategic race pointers in the 8K time trial session, technique improvements in the 2 mile, 300 foot elevation gain roller ski repeats, and a chance to experience the biathlete’s shooting stance. The Green Bay camp included sprint rollerski agility, weight room skier high intensity, a pole run, and ultimate games. The athlete and parent support group pulled garlic mustard in their home roller skiing neighborhood, an effort much appreciated by the Neighborhood Association.
