Be our
guest at Telemark Resort and ski one of the best trail systems
in the world. From an easy glide to a forest cabin on the
Treland or North End trails to the awesome slopes and turns
of the World Cup and Birkebeiner trails, you'll find your
share of tranquility and exhilaration here in the real Northwoods.

Choose
from 15 trails with 22 loops right out the door of Telemark
Resort's lodge or condos, including direct access to the
Birkebeiner and Kortelopet trails. Many of Telemark's trails
were designed by Olympic cross country coaches and skiers,
including legends Bill Koch, Sven Wiik and Marty Hall. New
for 2002 is the XC Fever Trail, a 2 km skating and striding
loop linked to Telemark's snowmaking system.
Top all
this off with miles of marked snowshoe trails, a tubing
& snowboarding hill, horse-drawn sleigh rides, bonfires,
candlelight ski/snowshoe nights, and an ice skating pond
and you've got a sure fire formula for winter fun.
Telemark
Resort has been a pioneer in skiing in the USA. In 1973,
35 skiers raced to Telemark in the first American Birkebeiner,
now the largest ski event in North America. Telemark also
hosted the first ever World Cup cross country ski race in
1978 and is the site of America's first 24 hour XC race,
held in January.
Inside,
Telemark Resort offers you the comfort and services you
want for a wonderful winter weekend or vacation. 193 lodge
rooms or condos, indoor swimming pool, whirlpool, saunas,
restaurants, gift shops, and game room await your visit.
