Located
in the heart of Wisconsin's north woods, Lenroot Lodge is
nestled on the Namekagon River in downtown Seeley, at the
intersection of Hwy 63 and County Road 00, between Hayward
and Cable. The world famous Birkebeiner ski trail is only
3 miles from the Lodge, while the exhilarating Seeley Hills
ski trails are within a mile.
The
Lenroot Lodge is built around the 1930's one room Lenroot
schoolhouse. The Lodge's exterior features recycled materials
including huge log columns rescued from blow-down areas,
heavy beams from the town's former garage and telephone
poles that now serve as handrails. Four of the ten rooms
are in the former classroom and maintain the original hardwood
floors and chalkboards. Each room of the non-smoking Lodge
includes a loft and can accommodate up to four person's.
Rooms also include a full bath and shower, heated floors,
satellite TV and telephones.
The
new lobby at the Lenroot Lodge includes check-in, a lounge
with full bar, continental breakfast, meeting space, and
a wax room. The Sawmill Saloon and Moose Lips coffee shop,
with it's popular Friday Martini Night, are a short walk
away, along with the full-service Riverbrook XC Ski Shop.
New
for the Seeley area for 2004 will be expanded lighting on
the Birkie trail at the 00 trail head for fantastic night
skiing. Also, join us for the annual Seeley Hills Classic
Ski Race held in January of each year.
