Jay Richards reports: In almost a repeat of weather conditions from the week before, cool and damp in the morning lead to hot and humid in the afternoon as Minnesota mountain bikers hit the fast and popular trails at Memorial Park for Wheelhouse Classic, race #3 in the MNMBS. Brendan Moore continued his dominance over the Elite field, taking the win over former World Cup racer, Jeff Hall, who made an appearance in the series the first time this year. Racing was tight among the top 10 with positions changing during the race until selections were made the last lap. Top female MN riders Jenna Rinehart and Sara Kylander-Jonson were racing in Wisconsin at the Subaru Cup leaving Jennifer Mowlin and Linda Sone to battled it out at the top with Mowlin coming out as the victor.
