The temperature tonight was an 180 degree switch from last Wed’s -2F/-18F windchill. Tonight’s ski condition felt like the mid-March weather (a Pole Pedal Pant winter triathlon typical condition), one of the warmest ECTT nights ever. The skiing condition was FAST and technical at the turns for the skaters and also tricky kick wax for the classic skiers.
Chip Tabor was looking for challenges and was trying to get even with a few Mora skiers, while posting one of the fastest time in the season. Before the race, skiers were reminiscent about the Mora Vasaloppet race and the challenging conditions. Ben and Byron, welcome to the ECTT race events. Jacob not only broke the 15 minute marker, his son won the overall event! Tim, Mark, and Jim, you are the most consistent racers and made every Wed. night enjoyable. Tim and Kyle, I cannot believe how well you did for your first ever xc ski race. Great job!
Next Wed.’s ECTT will be the last race in this season. Hope to see you there.
Kyle Benson is tonight's winner for the drawing ($25 gift certificate) -- please come and claim it next week.
