8th ANNUAL PETER WESTRA SPRINTS, Trollhaugen

164 high school Nordic skiers from Anoka, Henry Sibley, Mahtomedi, Forest Lake, Minnehaha Academy, White Bear Lake and SPA competed in the 8th annual Peter Westra Memorial Sprints Friday, December 9, at Trollhaugen. This season opener included a great sprint course with three hairpin turns that was very spectator friendly, bonfires, warm drinks, granola bars, trail mix, race rolls, GU donated by GU Energy, giant cookie prizes from Bonnie Alton’s Great Harvest Bakery in St. Paul for the top 8 boys and girls, cookie prizes for the gold heat winners, and a prize table for winners and coaches! Many thanks to Peter's family and friends for sponsoring and running this great event!!!
