State Meet Review

Coaches;

Following a very successful State Meet, I would like to congratulate the Roseville boys and the Duluth East girls on winning their respective team titles. Congratulations to Ben Saxon (Lakeville North) and Nora Gilbertson (Stillwater Area) on winning the individual pursuit titles.

I would like to thank John Filander, Ben Croft and the Giant's Ridge staff for all their hard work in preparing a championship course on a very difficult year. Thanks also to Bob O'Hara for his continued hard work and dedication to the sport of Nordic Skiing.

The Charlie Banks Relays had their most successful year ever filling for the first time ever.(40 girls and 40 boys teams)
272 people attended the State Meet banquet on Wednesday 2.15. A big thank you to Mike Hecker (slideshow), Fred Kueffer(academic awards) and David Johnson(Coach of the Year) for their help and contributions to the banquet.

The spring meeting will be held at the Vasaloppet Center in Mora on Saturday April 21, 2012 at 9:00AM. Please send me anything you would like to have included on the agenda. I will be passing the torch to Dan Josephson (Detroit Lakes) at this meeting. In addition, we have three leadership positions that will be open and need to be filled. (secretary/treasurer and two advisory positions) Feel free to contact me if you would be interested in stepping up and helping out. Lastly, the fall meeting will be Saturday October 27, 2012.
