Commentary: Skiers from the Twin Cities, Alexandria, Mahnomen, Starbuck, Nelson, Glyndon, Fargo, Grand Forks, and Wisconsin Dells participated in today’s FINDING RAINBOW 20K xc ski races. The 20K skate race was held on RAINBOW RESORT 6.7K trail (a part of the JOQ course), and the 20K classic race was held on the lake trail. Everyone had a big smile after they crossed the finish line. It was not only a great training race for most of the skiers, but one of the nicest skiing day this ski season, said Jay Richardson of Fargo, North Dakota. Groups of day skiers and resort guests were also getting out on the ski trails enjoying a beautiful day of xc skiing. Big thanks to the groomer, Doug Schumann, for his excellent trail work and also Linda Schumann for the very special wild rice soup and delicious cookies.
