Elm Creek Series Results

Conditions: Air temp. 15F with no wind; clear and crispy sound snow; great racing condition.

Race course: 5K skate and classic races (5K lit trails including Valley Trail, Thicket Trail, and Northern Light Trail). The skating lanes and tracks were well groomed.

Commentary: To Dan Luoma, winning the ECTT home course races is not just a matter of principle, it is a must. Dan did just that tonight by winning both the skate and classic races. John Hopkins kept in a close second, and Dennis Curran finished third in his blue jean (jumped in the race the last minute). In the classic race, Patrick Nelson finished in the second place, and Christopher Smith came in third. We wish Chris the best for his upcoming World Championship race in Russia on March 10-19, 2013. Tonight’s ECTT races are the LAST Wed. night ECTT race series races of this 2012-2013 season. We wish you all have a great Birkie, POLE PEDAL PANT winter triathlon race at Elm Creek on March 9 (www.polepedalpant.com), and many other ski races left in the season.
