Conditions: Air temp. 20F, very little wind. Very nicely groomed trails.

Race course: 1 lap of 5K lit trails (Valley Trail loop, Thicket trails, Northern Light trails).

Race distance: 5K, both classic and freestyle, mass start.

We could not have asked for a better racing condition tonight, no subzero temp, no wind-chill, no frostbite, and beautifully groomed trails. Skiers enjoyed tonight’s competitions. The skate race almost got to a photo finish between Jeremy Blazar and Nick Ross. The classic race seemed a bit tricky as to what kick wax to use. Tonight’s weather was just “too warm” compared to those -4F start races like Seeley Hills classic and Mora Vasaloppet classic! Next Wed. night’s ECTT is the last one of this season before Birkie.
