Elm Creek Relays / Time Trial

Believe or not, the weather was again near perfect, 22F, no wind.  Elm Creek wooded lit trails (northern light trails) were open after the dumps of snow on Wed. and today.  Racing skis are on the go, fast and fun.  The time trial started a little after 7pm, with Paul Olson led the open section of the course (i.e. the man-made section, although the natural snow now covered the entire man-made section) until Andy Schakel surged to claim the title with 13:50.  Chris Lundberg stayed with Andy for quite a while and also finished strong with 14:25.

Note: Due to the Christmas holidays, the next week's Elm Creek Relay/TT series is canceled.  The series will resume the following week, and starting from Jan., the race date will be on Wednesdays and 7:45pm, registration starts at 7:15pm and closes at 7:35pm or so.  Please check www.skinnyski.com for the most recent race information.
