Moonlight Ski at Nara

The Michigan Tech Boosters are hosting a Moonlight Ski event on Tuesday January 6th, 2015 from 5-8 pm. Community members and families in the Houghton area for US Nationals are welcome to attend. The moonlight ski coincides with an off day for the races and an "almost" full moon. Candles will be on the trails in case of an overcast night.

The Moonlight Ski will be held at the Nara Nature Center on the east end of the Tech trails system. Follow Highway 41 east from MTU campus approximately 2 miles to the Nara Nature Center entrance located on the south side of Highway 41.

Snowshoes will be available for rent from the MTU Outdoor Adventure Program for a small fee. Complementary cookies and cocoa will be served from 5 pm to 8 pm. The nature center has a chalet, with running water and restrooms. The chalet and rest rooms will close at 8 pm.
