Dusty Olson, Start wax tech, will be assisting the Doc and his wax crew to prepare your skis for your best Birkie. Dusty learned his waxing licks as a junior, the same time he won his junior national title. He has been a wax tech for the Rossignol, Fischer, and Atomic race teams, even waxing skis for podium finishers at the Birkie. Dusty will arrive at the Bicycle Doctor with his rolling race lab trailer- fully stocked with Birkie winning Start waxes, the same setup he will have in Hayward. Throughout the week, Dusty will be in contact with techs in Hayward testing waxes to have the most up-to-date waxing strategy. Bring in your skis on the 14th and 15th so that we can apply base layers with final topcoats to be applied on Wednesday before the Birkie weekend.
