Lumberjack Jaunt Update

Snow conditions at the Arboretum have unfortunately deteriorated so a ski race will not be possible. Therefore the Brainerd Nordic Ski Club has decided to not have a timed event for this year’s Lumberjack Jaunt, but activities will still be held on Saturday, March 8th to celebrate 50 years of the Lumberjack Jaunt. Planned activities include a group ski of the trails with remaining good snow, an introduction to the sport of orienteering with a short orienteering course available, and a group hike, followed by refreshments and prizes.

Schedule of events:

11:00 Check-in at Arboretum.
11:15 Orienteering instruction and short course available to run/hike.
12:00 Ski and Hike. Access to snow will require some walking.
1:00 Light meal and prizes.

Come share memories of 50 years of the Lumberjack Jaunt. Lumberjack or vintage ski apparel is encouraged.
