Sun Flour Market Resurrects the Citizen Sprints

We are happy to announce that the Citizen Sprints will be part of Birkie Week this year thanks to the efforts of Hayward's Sun Flour Market. The sprints, aimed at citizen skiers in several age groups, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, on Main Street in downtown Hayward. The Citizen Sprints will feature a new format, souvenir long sleeve T-Shirts provided by Northshore Promotional Group for participants and wonderful prizes for the winners. Entry Fee is $10.00 with all the proceeds going to the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson 's disease Research. Door prizes include a free Birkie entry good for 2007 or 2008. This new and improved event will only add to the fun and memories of an exciting Birkie Week in the Hayward Area.
