Thanks all for coming to the FINDING RAINBOW II. The "shot gun" went off at 11am when the sun and blue sky hit the wooded, hilly Rainbow Resort trails in northwestern Minnesota. Peter Hanson, the run-up of the last year's Pole Pedal Pant winter triathlon race after equalizing time, raced and easily clinched today's 26K FINDING RAINBOW II. After a warm-up skiing in a very fast condition last night, Peter decided to do the double header of FINDING RAINBOW II 26K and tomorrow's Pole Pedal Pant winter triathlon (10k ski, 10k bike, and 5k run). We wish Peter the best of two. Racers aged from 13 year-old Sam Anderson of St. Cloud, MN to 52 year-young Jonathan Schupp of Park Rapids all enjoyed a beautiful day of ski race in the hilly Rainbow Resort trails.
Thanks to the volunteers and our sponsors (Pioneer Midwest Ski and Board, Rainbow Resort).
