• Mar 1 - Trapp Family Lodge (Stowe, VT):
  
  Conditions: Plenty of snow, firm trails, well groomed - both skate and classic.
  Arrived around 9:30 am, stopped to visit with the Midwest wax techs, then skied a couple loops of the 5K course that will be featured Monday for the Junior National classical races. Snow was fast, felt that some transformed snow was mixed in - something we've seen very little of this cold winter in Minnesota! Classic tracks were solid, skate deck firm, everything looked freshly groomed and well set. Really a fun course, perfect for a classic race. Great mix of descents, switchbacks and climbs. Nothing too technical, all the climbs seemed good for striding and the downhills were a lot of fun. Very impressed, should make for a great race course.
