The famous Afton 50K course, one of the top rollerski courses around. Start at the parking lot at Oak-land Jr. High. Pros: Quiet roads and big hills; nice break in Afton. Absolutely heaven in the fall. Cons: Not the place for beginners or for an easy workout.Trail Reports

I stumbled upon this route from back in the day and decided to see how it skis in 2023. Pavement was great throughout with the exception of 12th St/Morris Rd which was poor but skiable. Manning, Hudson Road S, Neal and 40th St/Afton Blvd are all 50+ mph roads with narrow to no shoulder. Traffic on these was light (except for Hudson on our way back at midmorning) but they did give us some concern. Great ski overall with some fall colors hanging on and lots of skiers out in Afton.
