Skied at 2pm today. The South loop is groomed and wide. It looks like the grooming team has made two passes on that. It's rather firm where the trail is even. The north loop is also groomed, a bit softer and not as wide as the south. Still very skiable, particularly in spots where trail is even. Really good given amount of snow. Tram and North connector to Dog not groomed. Any skier has to anticipate a ding no doubt, so rock skis highly recommended. I have skied on less snow though so don't be shy. Fresh cord was beautiful. Just keep a close eye out when skiing especially on the hills up and down. Anytime you see Gator (grooming machine) tracks is where snow will be thin and soft. One more recommendation: when on the North loop traveling south and just south of Hickory Ridge Road (snowmobile trail) go to the left. I know this is generally against traffic. However to be frank, the hills where the recent logging occurred are so thin on coverage and uneven, it's impossible there not to catch a rock or dirt. Keep safety in mind. The rest of the trail was very awesome given conditions. Need some traffic to ski it in!
