[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Around mid-morning we classic skied the groomed loops (CCC, Thomson, Oak). Park personnel had done a great job grooming. The trails that were open were rolled and double tracked. Tracks were well set, free of debris and had minimal give. The snow expectedly softened as the day progressed but the tracks were holding up. The skin skis provided ample kick.

[ Good skis ]
We are thankful for the snow and the grooming, however, it was an unpleasant skiing experience today at Jay Cooke. The tracks were a mix of grabby on the sides and sinking. We spent most of the time outside of the tracks. The snow is dropping off of the trees and there are lumps on the sides of the tracks in many places along with in the tracks in some. There is debris on about 30% of the trail too. The temps was 33 when we started and 37 when we finished. Kinda icy in spots when we started but that's a timing issue. The sun was not out. We had three different types of skis, one was super thin, medium and a wider one and all had issues. I would opt for a different trail unless you like falling a lot.
