With over 16" of beautiful dry snow within the last few days, we have finally started our season. All ski trails have been cleared, and rolled. Grooming plans: After letting the base set, we plan to set tracks on Wednesday.

Trail conditions are poor. About 2" of new relatively dense snow was rolled over a thin icy base today. Primary purpose was to begin building a good base for any new snowfall. But skiing is not recommended at this time. Not even rock skis. The usual thin areas under thick evergreens are practically bare. And there are numerous sticks and twigs here and there.
