Trail Detail
Notes
Eighteen miles of ski trails are groomed and tracked as conditions permit. Mainly classical, with a couple kilometers skating accessible from the Gold Mine trailhead. The varying terrain offers challenges for all skiers. Flush toilets, water, tables, and grills are provided at the trailhead.Trail Reports

I skied Meadow Valley Trail from the Cox Hollow parking lot (by the concession stand) to the intersection with Lost Canyon Trail. I had to break trail the entire distance which meant very slow going. Someone else had broken the trail at that intersection but I did not check out how far in either direction. I decided to turn around and ski back to where I started so I could enjoy the track I made on the way out. I stopped by the park office on the way in and asked about grooming. I was told there were no plans to groom the trails any time soon. That's unfortunate as the trails at Governor Dodge State Park are second to none when they are groomed.

A foot of gorgeous snow out there but no grooming yet. I did attempt to ski two trails: Meadow Valley and Lost Canyon. Really tough to break trail in snow that deep so I left. I'm really disappointed that Gov Dodge hasn't groomed. I did call the office, and they said to check back in a week or two.

I called to ask whether trails were groomed, and I was told that they weren't, and that they don't know when they're going to get around to grooming them.
