Afternoon
Observation
Icy fast with bare spots, then slow snow on exposed SW hills. Skiing only for the daring and reckless. Not me.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Blueberry has had really fun rock skiing conditions for a few weeks now. Especially smooth back on the Tower and Red Pine Loops. I applaud the groomer's decision to conserve the base by letting it be until more snow arrives.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
An inch or so of fresh snow over flat packed groomed trails. No track set yet, but not needed to enjoy pretty nice skating and classic. A few unusual humps and bumps added to the challenge on the downhills. Prelude up to Red Pine Junction. Did not do Lake Loop, waiting until more snow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Glorious groomer packed Prelude loops and way out to H past Red Pine Junction. Skate skiing was ok on the very thin but firm packed base. Classic skiing with waxless skis was ok if you kept moving. But if you stop, skis clumped up miserably. Pretty tough first day for youth ski, but had a great time anyway! So glad for the four inch heavy snow.
