Skiing was tough this evening with the higher temps leading to sticky and soft snow. Skate deck resembles more of a bison migration path than a xc trail; it's virtually unrecognizable from a pedestrian pathway with all of the foot traffic. Classic tracks appeared to be reasonably intact for the majority of the trail. I don't recommend skate until new snow or a good groom, classic is definitely still an option. Disappointing because it was great last week!

Nicely groomed and set. Plenty of room for skaters. These trails often receive heavy use from walkers. Fortunately, all groomed and tracked trails were free of footprints Tuesday afternoon. Wooded portions provide welcome buffer to the wind.
