Nice bluebird day. Trails were recently groomed to take out some imperfections. Nice skate deck on the north south out and back loop. The skate deck around the lake needs another pass to get rid of a ledge in the middle of the deck. Would recommend coming out for sure.

Great groomed trails for both classic and skate. Just a few spots where wind is filling in classic tracks, but not entirely. Skied Ray Lake to 176 and back.

First out early today around Ray Lake, had to blaze trail since new snow and drifts hid previous groomed tracks. Good news, groomer arrived preparing both classic and skate ski surfaces.

Fresh cord. No bump in the middle. Promise of more grooming from the groomers, so get out and get you some miles.

Skied Ray Lake loop and additional loop trail near dog area. Trails groomed for classic, wind drifted some parts over, however nice to be able to get out.

Skied the Lakewood system yesterday and today. Today we parked at Lakewood Fort Hill parking lot on Gilmer road and had a great stretch of skate skiing headed NE on the trail, around Rays Lake. The extra half inch of powder last night was lovely. Conditions were nice and will head here again tomorrow. Yesterday we tried skiing the same trail system but parked in the Lakewood Forest Winter Sports parking lot off of N Fairfield road and headed towards Rays Lake - but this section was much more walked over. We didn't even make it to Rays Lake because it was so slow going. Would not recommend accessing the trail system from that lot as a lot of walkers park there and have roughed up the skate trail considerably. Parking in the Fort Hill parking lot, then heading around Rays Lake was the way to go.
