Notes

Most of the trails are on the golf course, thus pretty open and fairly flat. The course really winds back and forth.

Observation Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
With this warm weather and rain the ski trail is closed at this time. Hopefully Mother Nature is kind to us in the near future.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails were getting really soft but still absolutely skiable. I used my good skis and there were a decent amount of leaves and twigs, some grass, and occasional (but obvious and avoidable) bare cart path.

Groomed with skate deck only, no classic track. Thin/bare spots throughout. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Still good coverage at Phalen. I'd still suggest rock skis as the deck gets softer with the warming temps. There's enough spots where you cross cart paths that you'll risk scraping ground. All in all, still quite skiable though.

Grooming

Phalen was rolled today with 4-6 inches accumulation. Overall good trail. A tree removal project is wrapping up, but trail is not affected. Some debris but not significant.

No groomer action by 11 AM. Lots of beautiful, cold snow. Managed a perimeter route on most skier set tracks. No bare spots. Very few skiers out yet.

No grooming, but plenty of snow to get out and enjoy the fresh powder! Pretty much everywhere had plenty of coverage.
