Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I was able to set a decent track on the classic trail tonight. I also touched up the skate deck on all trails from the chalet out to Oak and River. Expect a crunchy smooth deck but it looks better than last night's grooming.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I touched up all the skate decks at night as the Northern Lights put on an incredible display. The snow had cooled down considerably by 9pm and I was able to groom out most of the previous grooming equipment marks and smooth out the snow chunks. The skate deck should be firm and fast by Friday morning. Perfect corduroy was difficult to achieve with the crusty snow so expect a bit of a crunchy but smooth deck. I also groomed the fat bike trail. Get out early if you can since the trail will be getting very soft by noon. The classic trail was also rolled but not tracked today. Hopefully conditions will allow me to groom again Friday night for Saturday morning.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Great spring skiing this morning. Maple, Oak, Balsam, Spruce, River, Aspen and the Entry and Return trails were all groomed and tracked yesterday. The track varied in depth and quality and the skate deck was firm but had some occasional equipment tracks and scattered snow clumps. By 11:00 the sun had already softened up the deck considerably.

Still not groomed but skiing still fun. We used tracks other skiers have made.

Observation
Not groomed. Bummer! Saw where someone had gone out making their own trail with both skate and classic skis. Not for us.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I made one pass on the skate deck Saturday night on most trails except Red Pine and Nebagamon. I was able to groom out the old ruts but some sections may be a bit crunchy until it softens a bit. Morning will be the best conditions before the temperature rises. The fat bike trail is groomed too and riding well.

Wonderful wonderful. Classic was the way to go. Skate deck looked very soft but classic had a slight glaze on the tracks that made for a fun ski. It had been freshly groomed just before I arrived. School kids were doing their version of the Birkie that morning, great to see so many enthusiastic young skiers out on the trail!

Trails freshly groomed post storm, so it was a bit soft but skiable. Didn't see much debris. Skied maple to oak and back.
