Skied on the new snow we got this morning, was nice but a little slow. The deck underneath the fresh snow is pretty chewed up but still skiable. Classic tracks looked in good shape.

No new grooming of the 1-2" of powder that fell last night. The skating is through the new powder, but by late this afternoon it had been skated on enough to give some compaction. Classic tracks have been skied-in and are deep, not washed out, and mostly clear of debris.

All the trails were groomed for skating and classic today. By late afternoon the skating deck was firming up as just a handful of skiers had been on the trails. The classic tracks are deep and also getting firmer with more use. Mid-season excellent conditions.

Long stretches in good conditions, but ice in many spots. Definitely worth skiing. Stayed mostly on easy trails. Classic tracks didn't like the best.

Tower was ok. Trails were groomed up, classic tracks set but they looked shallow. Firm skate deck with a mix of ice rink conditions and slow snow conditions. I opted out of the downhills for the most part, which also meant not as many uphills today; I did go down Dipsy Deaux and Easy Does It, which were ok, but edge control got a little sketchy. Biggest uphill climb I did was up Yin Yang, and it was ok for a climb up for the most part. I used B skis due to the ice rink conditions in general, but you could use good skis, coverage is still pretty good throughout. Need more snow soon, though.

The County is grooming today at Tower with moderate success. Where the water puddles it's solid ice. They are having some success in other areas. It's icy of course as we are experiencing Spring conditions. The tracks are mostly ice and only good for double poling. Please ski with caution.

I would rate the conditions as very good Spring conditions. We had ice from the very warm day last Wednesday. The County groomed Friday and broke up the ice. The temperature today was about 38 and the trail skied better than I expected. The tracks are mature and glazed but they skied very well. Skins seem to bite the best but Gail O swears by his grip tape! The skaters seemed to get plenty of edge in the skate lane.

It's going to be a challenging weekend of skiing for those training for the Birkie. The County is grooming Tower Ridge as I type but conditions are going to be icy. The groomer is cutting it but I'd avoid the big hills because of the screaming fast conditions. The skate lane should be firm and fast. The tracks were mature and icy but still skiable. I double poled more than usual. The conditions are similiar to Spring conditions. The only complete fix is some new snow. Timing your ski until the afternoon may allow the snow to soften.

No grooming in the last seven days. The skating is medium hard (I'd give it a 7/10 on the hardness scale) but softening a bit after 1:00 today. Earlier everything was glazed. The classic tracks have leaves but most of them melted below the surface so you can glide over them with waxless or skins skis.

The skating deck is slightly mushy in places--but not so much that the skis leave ruts, and glazed and semi-hard in other places. Not so hard that you don't have control. No grooming has been done since at least last Thursday. Very little cord left. The classic tracks in the shade or also glazed and quick and very slow where the sun hits them. Moderate amount of debris in them.
