Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
We walked the snowshoe trails and every time we crossed a X-country trail it looked in perfect condition. Grooming was recent and double tracked with a light layer of new snow. Very few tracks we saw had recently been traversed. A photo of a typical view is attached.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Dusting of light snow around noon made for slow conditions but trails were in good shape. About 3 pm the wind really picked up and threw down a lot of debris in the wooded sections and swept the new snow off the open prairie areas. Dropping temps made some areas icy and very quick, followed by slow sections of windblown drifting snow. Doing the snow dance for early next week!

Skied the Red this morning, it was awesome. See the groomers got around lots of the park yesterday. Some of the best conditions all year. Thanks to the groomers and mother nature for some new snow (not a lot ... but enough!).

Very nice skiing at Willow River. Lots of kilometers of skiing. Some leaf litter in tracks. Recommend bringing sharp scraper in your fanny pack in case you get some tree debris stuck in your kick zone. I had to remove some tree bark. Skiing over the bridge by and seeing Willow Falls for the first time was wonderful viewing. Saw groomer coming through by nature center as I was leaving park around 5 pm.

Trails were a dream. Fast and flawless. I skied every section of groomed trail twice. Now I'm tired.

The inch or so of snow that fell overnight on Sunday left the tracks almost debris free and the going was good. Skied the Purple loops and a bit across the river. Skate deck looked good and zippy too.

Trails were fast and fantastic yesterday. I went out again this morning with the little bit of fresh snow we had. I opted for first tracks vs. groomed tracks. They were a little slow and labor intensive on the fresh tracks, but they were being broken in by myself and other skiers as I continued, and it improved a lot.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied both Saturday and Sunday, trails were groomed and in great shape. Some areas in the open apparently got some mist/rain Friday that froze so you can go from fast to faster in a heartbeat. Some debris in the woods but generally avoidable. Great to see ski club out in force today, next generation Olympians!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All the trails were groomed and tracked today. Nice deep tracks and smooth skate deck. A few dirty spots on the red loop. You could use good skis.
