[ Rock skis ]
Got out there this morning after Dave/Jeff and crew did Yomans work to break up ice and hardpack snow with their grooming equip. Skied Blue, Green and Purple. If you have a sense of humor, a real desire to ski, and some patience the skiing is ok (Skate only... do not try to classic). The best skiing is the green around the campground. It is actually not too bad. Very fast, granular snow pack. The Blue is skiable...but be very careful down the hill when leaving the campground. The purple is ok...just some icy sections you need to double pole through. Wear your rock / B? skis. Nice to get a few laps in prior to birkie. Thanks for the grooming crew getting out there right after the rain. Really appreciated. You guys are awesome.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Most of Willow's trails have been gone over multiple times with the Ginzu teeth down. The Silver Trail has had only one pass and skiing it is not recommended. The best trails are likely to be the Purple and Green, especially through the 300 campground loop. There are lots of scattered icy spots and some areas where ponded water has frozen. Use caution skiing anywhere at Willow! Classic tracks are either icy luge runs or nonexistent.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Groomed a skate deck on red, green, purple and yellow. It softened up pretty well and is skiable only on those trails. No tracks. No bare spots. There a a very few spots with ice coming thru.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Thank you groomers for keeping the trail in shape! Still good skiing today despite the warm temps. I was out about 6pm and the trail had firmed up though could see it had been softer earlier. I skied most of everything. We are fortunate to have a good base, though there are spots it is getting thin.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails have a re-groomed skate deck this morning so skating is very good. Tracks were re-set yesterday and did get a little icy overnight. It was not possible to re-set but the tracks are still fairly good.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
With the warmer temperatures today, we were able to re-set some pretty decent classic tracks. They are well-defined and the glaze ice is covered up (for now). The work we did on the skate deck yesterday is holding up well.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The skate deck on all of Willow's ski trails have now been groomed. Warm temperatures and overnight freezing had created a hard, icy surface that has now been broken up. Skiers report fast conditions with the top surface providing the ability to get a good edge. As previously stated, the classic tracks are very hard and icy. Brief attempts at resetting track resulted in very shallow tracks littered with chunks of hard snow. Most of the park's trails have solid track, but come prepared for glazed conditions. Saturday evening, 6:00–8:30 is the Candlelight Ski and Hike event which is likely to draw large crowds to the park. You may want to plan to come and enjoy the event or plan to ski earlier in the day to avoid the crowds.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Re-groomed the skate deck on Red, Purple and Silver. After two passes, the surface is soft and there is be no problem in setting an edge. The tracks were too hard to re-set and remain well-formed maybe working okay with skins or klister.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skate deck and classic tracks were regroomed on all trails today. Skate groomed up with a mix of corduroy and some larger chunks of snow. Classic tracks varied from full depth to shallow. Sunny areas were getting wet but areas in the shade stayed relatively dry. With below freezing temperatures it will be icy in places. Overall the snow is fast and aggressive.

First timer out here, and it didn't disappoint. Packed and tracked, but it could use a fresh groom; these trails see a lot of traffic. Quite a bit of sticks and debris down; you could wear good skis, but with the route I was on, there were two road crossings along with so many sticks down, so I felt that B skis are a better choice. Still, nice firm skate deck, and classic tracks set. Several sections are multiuse, but they were in good shape for skiing too. Kudos to the crew that take care of the trails here, I had a great ski around Little Falls Lake!
