We received five to six inches of lake-effect snow. Groomers were out leveling and combing all 23k of the trail system; cold temperatures set-up the skating platform and tracks nicely. Conditions are good to very good.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
With the light snow that MECCA has received, conditions continue to improve. Tracks were set today on Wolf, Moose and Osprey. The skate deck was also groomed and is good to very good with some easily avoidable thin spots. Most of which are on the trail that crosses the flowage.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Wonderful ski! Trails were freshly groomed on the skate lanes. Thank you for the excellent grooming. I skied the marked loop of the Winterfest 30 kilometers / 15 kilometers 1 lap. Not in shape to go around twice. First ski of the season. So glad I drove to Mercer from Wausau. Well worth the travel.

[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Four to five inches of snow last night with a few flakes still coming down. Groomers were out leveling, packing, renovating, and setting track. Trails have reverted back to early season conditions, low snow base, and not completely level skiing platforms. Trails are soft. Enjoy!

Evening
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Groomers were out mid-day and again this evening mixing old snow with two inches of new moisture starved lake effect snow. Overall the trail has 95 percent coverage; however, base is thin with some bare spots. No tracks set, skiing is fair.

Morning
Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
The roller coaster weather has left MECCA Trails with crusty frozen snow, scattered bare spots and icy sections. Trails are open; however, trail users should use caution because of the ice.

Morning
Observation Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
Recent warm temperatures coupled with light rain has deteriorated trail conditions. Trails are very soft, water puddles are forming along with scattered icy spots. Any type of trail use at this time (skiing, snowshoeing or hiking) will cause deep imprints in the trail base resulting in future grooming efforts difficult. Please refrain from using the trails until cold temperatures return.
