Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails are back in excellent condition following the 7-8" of snow we received on Thursday. Groomers got out last night and hit up the majority of the park including all three of the long trails (River Run, Lake Marie, and Wolf Tracks). Skate decks might still be a little on the soft side, but skiers reported great classic tracks yesterday.

Luxurious soft snow conditions with a hint of the old transition snow/ice base underneath. The 3-5" of new powder made me retire my klister collection, at least temporarily, for some good old hard wax/soft skis easy gliding. Alas, my heirs will have to fight over the wax box later, but for now, lots of easy options. The black trails look appealing, slower than the past few weeks, softer for control, and maybe some cushion for a potential tumble.

Arrived around 10:25am at 15F. Ended my ski around 1:50pm at 22F. Brisk NE wind not felt in heavily wooded trails. Core trails groomed and in excellent shape. Tower trail the firmest and easiest to obtain fast glide speed. Very light flurries while skiing. This place is a real gem especially for this out of state skier.

Had to drive a bit north for snow, and glad I did. Baseloop, c-d express, nose dive alley, island hop, and Yukon trail all had great tracks set. Get it while you can.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The groomers got out and reset classic tracks and skate decks on almost the entire trail system at night! Ski trails are looking fantastic right now with good edge control on the skate decks. Trails should be a little softer than yesterday's firm conditions. However, it still feels like hero snow out there. Classic tracks remain shallow in spots but are overall getting much better!

Conditions for the trails they were able to groom following the warm and rain were absolutely fantastic. True hero snow conditions. Skied most of what was available, Tornado Alley, Survivor, XC Express, Mellow Meadow, Nepcos Cruise, Silver Strider and Sleigh Ride. Blazing fast but still decent edge control. Care is needed on anything "technical", but is sure was a blast today.

Awesome post rain grooming! Tracks were a bit thin and icy in a few spots, but far and away good to excellent conditions. Skate deck looked better yet. Parking lot? Death defying! Bring Yak Tracks, ski poles for balance, or my favorite, a chauffeured drop off at the front door.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Our trails really held up well to yesterday's rainfall! We had two power tiller machines out since midnight busting up the ice on the trails and re-setting some really nice skate decks and classic tracks throughout almost all the interior trails including the east side beginner trails and the west side intermediate trails. The groomed trails are in great shape with good edge control on the skate decks. The classic tracks are mostly full depth and are also in pretty good shape. We don't recommend skiing on the un-groomed trails as they are very icy. But the trails groomed for today are skiing really well!

Observation
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We received over a half inch of rain last night. Ski trails are in variable condition ranging from icy to soft and slushy. We are still open although there will be no grooming today. Use caution if you do decide to come out to the park. Please be careful in the parking lot and around the chalet ski rack area... it's extremely icy in those spots! It's currently misting lightly. Trail base is holding up well, but repair will take a while and grooming is planned to start up again tonight.

Arrived at 1pm. Skied trails that were groomed this morning. Tracks were firm and deep except in areas with lots of sun where they had softened. Skiing on these trails were great even though temp was about 40F. Portions of the trail that had direct sun were slowest compared to the fast shaded areas. Minor needle and leaf litter on these trails. Had lots of fun skiing 25km.
