Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The groomers put in a big night setting new skate decks on basically the entire park! New classic tracks were set in most places as well. Trails held up pretty well to the warm temps yesterday with some thin spots showing up on Big Pine, VO2 Max, River Run, and Wolf Tracks. But otherwise, trails are in great shape! Grooming plans: Expect grooming equipment to be on the trails during the day today. They're working on setting more classic tracks and completing some race prep work.

I made a trip up to Winter Park in Minocqua. Was a treat to ski on real snow! About half the trails were open with firm base and fresh groom on top. Although base was thin in spots I found full coverage on the trails groomed. One of my most favorite places to xc ski!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomers got out and touched up skate decks this morning on most of the interior trails just before the morning lake effect snow squalls came in! Conditions remain the best, especially for classic, on the west side of the park (Tornado Alley, Base Loop, Survivor, Nose Dive). Grooming plans: We plan to have groomers back on the trails Friday morning!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Groomers touched up skate decks this morning and report great conditions on the interior trails. We are waiting for more fresh snow to re set the classic tracks. Skate decks are firming up nicely out there! Wolf Tracks to the cabin and back is the best long trail to hit up today. Enjoy!

Firsthand: Classic

We skied the Wolf Tracks race course, shortened this year to a 10.3k multi loop thing instead of the "Tour de Park" single lap. Nevertheless, I found conditions to be quite good. There may have been a brown spot here and there, but mostly white space and smooth conditions. While classic skiing, the skate deck looked firm, level, and fast at 28 degrees. Overall, I'd call the terrain rolly with a spot or two of vertical interspersed with flattish sections good for double pole and V2.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We picked up another inch of so of fluffy snow yesterday. Groomers were out touching up skate decks on the interior trails and are reporting great conditions! Classic tracks were not re-set but are skiing great regardless. There's a few thin spots in places but are easily avoided. Tornado Alley, Survivor, Nosedive, Beaver Pond, and Base Loop are in the best condition! Please note that there is a broken down piece of grooming equipment on the beginning of Wolf Tracks. We tried to get a long trail done for today but fate had other plans...

Very good conditions. You will not be disappointed. Most of the tracks looked pretty good. I saw few places with dirt in the tracks but it was easy to avoid. Nut Cracker was in very good condition except for about two spots, which was avoidable..

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Trails are looking nice after the 2-3" of snow earlier this week! Groomers have gotten most of that new snowed pressed in and have set new classic tracks and skate decks on all trails including all three long trails. Coverage is really good on most interior trails with a few thin spots here and there on the east side of the park. Conditions are still a little thin in spots on River Run, Wolf Tracks, and Lake Marie. Wolf Tracks is your best bet at a long trail. Grooming plans: Groomers plan on being out again tonight getting things groomed up for the weekend.

Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied the interior trails, found good coverage with deep tracks. Some debris and dirt here and there that was easily avoided. I heard those on the outer trails reported good conditions on good skis with occasional avoidable thin spots.

The skate deck was firm and fast! Most trails are in really good condition. There are a few spots on the hilly trails that you need to take care. The tracks looked really good in most places but had a few really bad spots.
