Trails are in incredible shape. Deep man made snow with track set well. Skating deck was firm and flat with good bite. Pretty much perfect. Sean has been working around the clock to make snow for reserves to make it through warm weather and for upcoming events. If you haven't skied Ariens you really should. Trails are fast and safe with good climbs and descents, a well designed course. And of course a remarkable biathlon venue!

The trail is now 2.5 km with distance added on the south end and part of Mammoth. Skating surface is wide, level, well compacted and clean. Adjacent diagonal tracks were slightly slower due to some recent snowfall. The diagonal tracks were still robust. Worth the drive.

Rare areas of pebbles, especially near start line. The uphills are starting to deteriorate, but only slightly. All things considered, the trail is in very good shape with recent grooming. Trail is approximately 1.8 km. Adjacent tracks were good or very good.

32 degrees and very little wind tonight at Ariens Nordic Center - a beautiful evening for skiing! There are approximately 1.8 km of trails up and running. More will be opening as colder temperatures allow for more snowmaking. NKMN Storm and Bay Nordic Youth Ski Teams were practicing here tonight. There is plenty of base and these trails are in fabulous condition!

Currently, the trail is approximately 1.8 km. The skate deck was firm, wide, level and very clean. The adjacent single set of classic tracks was well formed and fast. Snowmaking continues for future use.

The skate deck is approximately 1.2 km, level and freshly groomed. Tiny amount of dirt or pebbles at the start but otherwise clean. The deck is slightly soft because of warm weather. Adjacent tracks were in very good shape.

We launched from the ANC trailhead at 7:45 this morning in 16 degrees with a stiff wind out of the north. We were greeted with a 1.1K loop that includes three climbs of varying difficulty. Perfect conditions: Full depth tracks, uniform corduroy. Lots of snow making going on with 7 guns a blazing on the south end of the property and 1 on the north. We're lucky to have this place!
