Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Perfect weather out today. Surprisingly, there weren't many people out. The snow was fairly thin but some sections of the course had decent skier-made classic tracks that I looped back and forth on and was able to get good speed and glide. Definitely a few dry grass spots that can sneak up on you. Hopefully there will still be a few more skiable days this year.

I wanted to get out before the warm afternoon sun! Skate deck is well set, colder morning kept it fast. Yes, there's dirt. Yes, the path sticks out. You can still get around all of it easily. Get out while it lasts!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Since it was a balmy 18 degrees, I headed over to ski the golf course. Recently rolled, no set tracks, although skier made tracks paralleled the corduroy in some places. Classic conditions fair to good overall, especially given that there is only about two inches of packed snow in most places. Skating deck looked hard and fast. Grass is peeking through in some spots, but encountered dirt only once. Get out before it gets any hotter.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Rock skis ]
Skiable. Thin in places and pretty good in places. Beware of asphalt from cart tracks in a few spots. Pretty easy to detour around bald spots if needed. Great for a neighborhood adventure ski, not great if you are looking to put on multiple kilometers on precious race skis.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
The Highland 18-hole is skiable, but there are many bare spots and tall grass coming through - need more snow. There are places where the paved paths are showing and clumps of dirt.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Surprisingly skiable. Trails aren't groomed but there is just enough light fluffy snow to make your own. If it isn't too cold, you can get in at least an adequate ski.
