With the recent delayed snowfalls this year we finally got back to ABR and the trails were absolutely beautiful today. Despite the very cold temperatures the skate deck was firm and fast with good edge on all trails. ABR sets the standard in grooming and it really showed today. Thanks for a spectacular day!

ABR was in overall good condition. Some of the single track trails were a bit thin, especially swamp segments or those under heavy conifer cover. I did a fair amount of hoping in an out of the tracks to avoid dirt and debris on Jack Pine and Tamarack Two Track, but also had to side step at least a few spots on other trails including River, Popple Flats and Hautanen Highlands. Skate deck looked good to excellent with only a few easily avoided thin spots. Very scenic with the new snow and sun peeking out in the late afternoon.

10-12 inches of snow today! We had a full groom crew out early this morning into the afternoon. Skate lanes were soft, classic tracks were good especially on classic only trails. Recreational skiers were very happy today. The second shift groomer shift is reporting great progress in tonight's grooming. Grooming plans: Fresh classic tracks and corduroy at 9 am Sunday.

Classic skied somewhere around 20 km today late morning into the afternoon. A good hour and a half of skiing. Conditions were pretty good for the amount of snow. Snow was soft, tracks were a mix of skied in and groomed. Some areas of trail are bumpy, but it was great for the snow on hand. No problems on hill climbs or bee lining downhill, both semi firm to soft. All and all a phenomenal ski to remind me why I love this sport and this trail system! Thank you groomers. Hope to come back soon!

Sooo nice to out the woods not doing laps! Striding about two hours, with little repeat of trails, tracks were made by skiers but very nice. With lots of white corduroy, a little organic on trail. Reminded of how good and fun skiing can be, come to ABR!

Amazing skiing today! What difference two days and 5 inches of snow makes. I skied 17km of fresh corduroy skate lanes at ABR. The skate deck has firmed up a lot since yesterday. Still some undulating bumpiness in places but that is improving with each inch of snow we get. A few wet spots freezing up, some organic matter in places but I would say 90% of skate lanes good coverage. Tracks were also set. They were surprisingly deep. Some grass and leaves in a few areas but maybe 20%.

The 3 inches groomed up well this morning. We groomed about 45 km of trails, 10-15 k is decent w a classic track.
