Beautiful late morning ski. River trail decent for both skate and classic. Good tracks 80% of the time. Some bare spots on the top of steep down hill of River trail.

Classic skiied 20 + km this morning. Icy fast on parts, but soft with good kick the the lower areas. River Trail up hills were great climbs with firm soft snow. Blueberry Bluff hills were icy hard. Bare spots are around. I just kept doing River Trail loops, 5. I mean in the past three days I ran a 10 mile, a 13.3 mile in 50 to 60 degree weather. So, I can not complain, I'm just stoked to ski this phenomenal trail system. Today, with the weather we've been having, I'd say the conditions are great. Double pole, get the kick in in the right spots and it's a great ski. Thank you groomers!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Just coming in from grooming with the Pisten Bully. I groomed up a nice 10 k loop including setting new classic track. Wide track and partner groomed another 15 km with lighter equipment, scarifying the skate lanes. For the best skiing experience you can inquire at the ticket booth for trails groomed. We are spending 10 man hours grooming every morning.

Felt like a spring day out there today. Overall there was good coverage on what I skied; any exposed areas were easy to avoid. The snow was getting soft when we left; thankfully cold temps and snow are in the forecast. Can't wait to get back up!
Enjoy the early season snow!

We groomed about 25 km of skate trails with three passes early this morning and they came out pretty decent especially on the main 15 km loop. We also retracked about 10 km of single tracks. The trails are skiing well for early season.

Very icy classic tracks. Took your life in hands first thing in morning. No classic tracks regroomed. Skating was rocket fast in the afternoon.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
We had a good turnout today for the early season snow. The groomers worked hard this morning to renovate about 20 km of skate lanes for the 9 AM skiers. Most skiers arrived as the classic tracks were softening about mid day. With temps getting up to 40 today and sunshine, skiers were happy to be out on real snow in the woods. Temps are down to 35 but the trails is frozen again and we plan to be back out with a full groom team in the early morning. Looks like Saturday temps will be warm again so it is important to pick your time of day for skiing. I do not expect the base to go away, it is an honest 3-4 inches and solid with a few thin areas on the hill crests and under the conifers. We are planning to groom daily.
