Great day skiing. Skate was pretty much a bust, but I realized later that I was probably on the worst trail for that (Gold). The blue loop looked like it might be good for skate. Classic was very good even with tracks with some debris and nearly bare spots. I got pretty good glide on classic too. Once you get going and warm up, the cold isn't bad. The warming house saved us. We had a fire going and got that room to a nice temp. Couldn't have done it with kids, without the warming house. Thanks to the volunteers who chopped and stocked the wood. Thank you Bemidji for a great weekend.

Red and Blue trails groomed. The blue skate lane, in particular, is fairly nice given the thin base. The classic tracks are so-so with stubble, leaves, and dirt in some sections. We just need more snow.

Skied the Gold river loop at Three Island Park. Some nice stretches, but mostly icy, thin, and uneven snow coverage throughout the trail. Was not able to check out the southern trails.
