Trails were groomed pulling the ginzu this morning. An overall improvement with smoother skate deck overall. Sand and thin areas on Little Ben Trail. Overall-decent. 1.5 to 2 inch base. 85% of trails have good snow coverage (1st photo). 15% or less has sand mixed with snow but easy to ski thru without ski grabbing (2nd photo).

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
5 inches of snow over the weekend. Trails rolled Sunday and Monday. The ginzu groomer was used this morning to even the deck out a bit. Only a 2 inch packed base of snow. Not enough snow to set classic tracks. Skating was slow in the cold but decent.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
With the extra inch of snow Thursday night (3 inches total) that provided just enough to give improved coverage after the initial rolling. Skiers have made the 1 inch base fairly firm. There are exposed sticks and thin spots, so ski with caution.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Two inches of new snow fell during the day Thursday. Most trails were rolled to compress the snow. Thin and soft base. Need to have a flat ski or it will grab the sand beneath the snow and quickly stop the ski. Ski with caution! Grooming plans: An addition inch of snow fell after initial rolling. Additional rolling will likely be completed on Friday.
