Trail Detail
Notes
Small park near the end of the Gateway Trail. There is beautiful scenery with trails winding through pine forest, and near small lakes and picturesque farms. The course is quiet, sheltered, and has a lot of fun roling hills. Most of the terrain is intermediate in difficulty.Trail Reports

I stopped at Pine Point for some nice classic skiing. Tracks were good, only issue was some spots with seeds that sometimes stopped your momentum. Skate deck looked good. Wider trails than I remember from years back.

Generally very good skate ski conditions. A few occasional small icy patches, and a few spots with minor branch debris on the trail, but groomed and in very good condition overall. Worth noting is that I'd estimate classic tracks had only been set for maybe about a third of the trails.

Coverage was good and there was minimal debris on the trails except for the darkest corner of the pines. There was no classic track on the east side of the Gateway Trail; classic track of variable quality has been set on the west side trails. There are some very shallow skier-made tracks in some areas that I found serviceable enough to use. The steeper descents were soft and forgiving with no icy spots. The skate deck looked to be in excellent condition. I will go back for that tomorrow.

Amazing conditions with fresh grooming... except virtually no classic tracks set. Only a couple of 100+ foot sections groomed for classic as of 11 AM so I'm kind of puzzled if they were done grooming or what? Somehow, even with all the snow it is a little thin under the white pines, but fabulously nice out there.

Beautiful trail with the snow covered forest! Conditions are a bit icy but the sun was starting to soften up the classic track. Most of the trail has debris such as leaves, twigs or pine needles every 30 feet. Very glad to be out in the scenery though!

Great skiing today. All loops are open. Skate skied with friends. Classic track looked perfect. Hard and fast. Snow still stuck on trees makes beautiful scenery. Thank you to the groomer!

Groomer was able to go out today and packed/tracked the ski trails as well as pack the multi-use trails. Very minimal debris out there and everything is in great condition!

I skate skied the north trail near the parking lot and couldn't get an edge so I quickly turned around and chose to hike a nearby road. It was too icy for me. That said, two people skiing in from different directions came in at the time I was leaving. Both of them had skied the north and south trails. They both said it was icy but the south side was better. One hill was a bit scary. But both of them seemed glad they went out.

Just got done at 2:20 pm skate skiing trails on both sides of the Gateway Trail. Some of the best conditions of the year. Rolled recently. I was the second or third skier since it was rolled. Thanks groomers!
