I skied the loops north and south of the Gateway Bike Trail. Both in very good condition. Recently groomed. Some leaves and spruce cones. Not many bare spots, so I could easily ski around minor exposed areas. Thank you groomers! The trails were in great shape. I only have one pair of skate skis and I was never concerned about scratching them. No classic grooming.

Nice easy first outing of the season. No bare spots, I covered all trails-quite good considering amount of snow. Excellent grooming-Thank you!

Surprisingly good coverage for skating considering how thin the base is. No classic tracks. B skis if you are careful. There are large sections that are quite nice. But rock skis if you've got them. No bare ground to speak of and minimal debris. Good ski outing. Beginners could find the bumpy and soft conditions a challenge but still worth it. Just have to find the good areas. Up top on the prairie loop was very good. Multi-use trails were soft and slow. Getting slower by noon.

Winter trails are now in effect. All trails have been packed and rolled with corduroy for skate skiing. Conditions are fair to good.

Stopped at the trailhead and noticed that the trails were groomed leading out of the parking lot to the east and west. No classic tracks.
