It's perfect out there. 10 out of 10. All trails are groomed. I skied from 1-3pm; groomers were just finishing up. Skate deck very even. Next to no debris. I noticed deep and pretty looking classic tracks set on the entire system.

Conditions were near perfect. Very appreciative of the volunteer crew maintaining these trails. They do very nice work. No icy conditions, unlike some other trails in the region. Minimal remnants of downed trees/limbs. All loops are open. The only area to watch out for is the biggest hill on the Tram Lake Loop (the far eastern loop) because clearly, it was difficult/impossible to groom. It's passable but less than ideal. I did Tram Lake Loop counterclockwise and thus went "up" this hill instead of down it and I think going down it might have been difficult. Also a bit rougher conditions on this loop's south side of this trail, but the north side was mostly as nice and perfect as all of the rest of the loops. Again, super appreciative of the excellent grooming and clearing of the trails that the volunteer crew did here.

Terrific skiing conditions today. The crew is doing great considering the challenges. Skied almost all of the trails. Tram is closed so could not get out on that trail and Highland/Lowland still needs some trim to smooth it out. I skied it but wouldn't recommend going out on it right now. Some twigs, leaves and needles so still suggest using B skis. Hickory really is the crown jewel in the Chippewa Valley, I need to get out here more often. I had a really enjoyable early afternoon.

[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Skate skied the north loop about noon. Firm, fast and fun. Lots of debris all over, but isn't that all trails in NW WI right now? No reason to not go ski. One should plan for some scratches on the ski base, and if you get away with it all is well. The south loop is more groomed than the north just because it was the first that was opened post snowstorm. I heard Highland Lowland is a bit rough right now from a fellow skier I passed along the trails. Dog Island is open. Tram was not yet groomed but I believe it's being cleared today.

Another great classic day at Hickory Ridge. No set track and it was soft due to the high 30's temperatures. They will set the tracks when the weather gets colder. Skied the south and north loops. Fantastic!

Great ski today. Hickory Ridge was rolled and packed. Not that soft. They did a ton of work to clear the trails from debris. Thanks! Good skis OK. No track but it was fun. Very beautiful. We skied from the south parking lot to the north parking lot. Paid our respects to Dave and skied back.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Ski Trail: Two Way, South Loop, North Loop and Dog Island Connector were rolled and groomed with the drag today for skating. No tracks have been set yet. There are still some smaller branches overhanging the trail edges that can be trimmed back if you come across them to help us out. Fatbike Trail: West Trappers, Shangri La, and Burnt Wagon were all cleared and groomed today. Burnt Wagon will have a couple of soft spots where it drifted really bad. Enjoy.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Assisted with clean up this morning. As the connector and south loop cleared yesterday, the north loop was cleared today. Snow machines were used to get back to the trails which started helping to pack down snow. Later morning, the official groomer started rolling now that it is clear just enough to pass along those trails. For skiing, yes the trail could be skied. Plenty of snow but have to image it will be soft. It's going to take a fair number of passes to pack it down. If you go out this week it would help to pickup a few small branches or shake down some more trees. Not sure what Dog, Hiland, or Tram look like. No tracks set yet. Some grooming may be planned for tomorrow.
