Did a short loop (Oberg) on way up to Cascade. Well groomed, some debris but mostly very clean and in great shape. Lovely afternoon.

I started from the Moose Fence Trailhead. It was good to have a nice groomed track after breaking trail in fresh snow last Saturday. I skied the Maple Loop and took the connector to N at the Picnic Loop intersection, then turned around and skied the Upland Loop on way back. Grooming and trackset were all good. There is plenty of snow and no bare spots, though quite a bit of needles blew off in the pines. They were soft and caused no problems to my skiing though.

Classic skied from Briton Peak trailhead, Piece of Cake, Hog back, picnic, connector, Homestead and back. No grooming after last night's 4 inch snow fall but skier tracked everywhere. There were a ton of skiers out enjoying the warmer temps. Solid deck, but enough snow so that machine set tracks were not visible and guessing where they were often lead to pole plunges so I stayed in the skier tracks often more toward the center. Snow was light and fluffy and no problem to ski thru although it did slow me down.

I started at the Moose Fence Trailhead. Groomers, understandably had not been out yet since it was still snowing. I broke trail on Maple Loop and took the connector trail to N on the Picnic Loop and back. About 3 inches of fresh fluff but they had groomed a nice deep, firm track before, so I could follow trackset, even though slow. It was a fun ski and temps good today. No one had been on Picnic Loop at N yet either. In general, groomers have left on good track and skate deck/ pole plants were firm under fluff.

A little dusting of snow on barely used corduroy along with 22F temp made for super skating. Skied from Britton Peak around Hogback, Homestead, and to Carlton Peak. The skate deck was a softer than yesterday with occasional pole punch thru's and a few spots of tree debris that were easily avoided. The classic tracks were deep and solid when I was in them. Overall the trail condition was excellent and the skiing was sublime!

Skated from Oberg lot to the Maple Loop and back. Deck was excellent with few to no skate tracks in corduroy! Had a couple of pole punch thru's between N & P and there was one water bar that extended into about 1/3 of the trail (non track side) near the low point...easy to avoid. Car showed 8F when I started. Glide was a slowish making the climbs tough, but good control on the descents. The times I jumped in the tracks, they were deep and solid. They do a super job maintaining this trail!

Wonderful day of skiing at Sugarbush Sunday. The skate deck was perfect! Classic tracks also perfect! I saw hardly any signs of other skiers on the trails. It was great having crisp corduroy on all 23k I skied. I can't emphasize enough how gorgeous it was!

First time back to Sugarbush in almost 12 years and it did not disappoint. I was out on the trails between the Britton Peak trailhead and Onion River trailhead on Fri/Sat/Sun afternoons and the conditions were perfect all three days for classic. Skate conditions also looked to be pretty much perfect to this inexperienced skater.
