Spent the last two days at Sugarbush skiing all the trails except Moose Fence. The grooming is as good as I have ever seen it. Firm solid classic tracks, no ice, firm pole plants, firm and fast for the cold skate deck. Wonderful job of grooming this holiday week where we had lots of new snow and the groomer, Darin, stayed on top of it with the Pisten Bully keeping the trails pristinely groomed all week. Lots of people out enjoying the skiing even in the zero degree temps right up to dusk.

Really great work by the groomers have the trails in awesome shape! Classic tracks were deep and well set almost everywhere, and skate deck was almost untouched corduroy. Temps were -2 but still 7-8 cars in the brighton peak trailhead. We skied out to I via bridge run and back, great kick with the Swix Polar.

Skied from Briton Peak trailhead around Hogback, Picnic, West Oberg Connector and Homestead. All groomed immaculately with bomb proof classic tracks. Only problems were two dips in the tracks to water that are brief, hard to see, and caused me to tumble. One on Hogback and another on Homestead on the hill down from the top. But other than that, a beautiful sunny cold day. Groomed for the second time in two days by Pisten Bully, makes for great firm track and skate deck.

Skied the Picnic Loop from Moosefence to Brighton parking lots. Perfectly groomed the entire way and beautiful. Thanks Darren Peck for getting to it right after the storm.

Skied from Onion River Rd to Britten Peak lot. Skate deck was clean and well packed with some soft spots here and there closer to Britten. The Piece of Cake/ Wood Duck loops were firm and fast. Did upland loop in the afternoon. Maple loop is ungroomed. It was starting to wet snow, which made the snow a little faster, but it was starting to accumulate by 3pm.

Skied from Oberg around Picnic loop and back via Hogback and Homestead. Grooming was immaculate, tracks firm, skate deck looked fine but may have been a little soft. Last 90 minutes it was snowing hard and made skiing slow. Swix VR 30 was my wax and worked fine until I was dealing with the accumulating snow and it was a little sticky. Woods were beautiful, snow was great as was the grooming. Thanks Darin!
