Skating on Maples, Birches, and lighted loop. Although skate deck was soft, glide was very good. Very rare areas of dirt, but these can be avoided. Adjacent diagonal tracks were present throughout most of trail. Grooming had been done early this morning.

We skied both traditional and skating today. Traditional tracks wre improved from last week but the skate deck had deteriorated greatly in many areas. Skate deck had a reverse crown (V-shape) with some gravel and debris showing through in many areas, so use caution if you use your good skis.

Staff completed a maintenance groom of skate lanes at the Reforestation Camp. We received an additional inch of snow with slightly higher moisture content, so it compacted a bit better. The new snow is still somewhat soft; however yesterday's snow has compacted into a firm base. Likewise classic track set up nicely overnight and the new snow has helped fortify the track in thinner trail areas. Classic track was set on Maples hills and lighted loop return this morning. Enjoy the trails!

Staff groomed skate deck and reset classic track on all trails today with the Tidd Tech and PistenBully. Classic track was omitted from the maples hills section due to the machine's tendancy to dig too deep on hilly corners. Staff will set track on this section as soon as possible. Enjoy the trails!

Staff groomed skate deck and reset classic track on all trails this morning. Some sections of Birches and Maples do not have track set due to low snow conditions through dense canopy areas. We have full snow coverage across the trail system and the underlying base is firm, although the new snow on top will take a bit of time to firm up. Grooming plans; We expect to be back out grooming this weekend. Be sure to purchase your daily or annual pass. Enjoy the trails!

Pretty good skate skiing conditions late Monday afternoon on the well-used track at the RFC. Skied the interior Maples and the Penalty Loop near the rifle range. I used my good skis was glad I did. There were a couple avoidable thin areas, thus the B ski rating. All in all, exceeded expectations. Carpe Skiem!

New snow has been rolled. B skis conditions today. Skied Maples and Birches. Better coverage on Birches although a few rough spots easily avoided. A lovely day at Refo.

Staff spent the afternoon into the night, packing and grooming the trail system. The light fluffy snow packed down to about an inch of base. There are a few low snow spots with dirt peaking through. Skatedeck is ready for skiing on Birchs and Maples. Classic track is set on Pines and the majority of Oaks (hills, swampy areas, and low snow areas do not have track set). Areas near the trailhead do not have track set either. Get out on Sunday and enjoy the trails! The VenTek machine is out order, so please purchase passes online or bring cash for the pay box.
