[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Greg and I re-groomed most of the system Friday night. Some new track was set on the Brown and red trail. There are a couple of open areas starting due to sunburn.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied the brown purple and red loops. Good coverage as mentioned earlier but by afternoon, some holes were opening up in the tracks due to the sun. The tracks were deep but soft so they were deteriorating a bit as the day went on. The red loop look like it was lightly skied but also thinner and had a couple open spots that could be navigated around. The classic tracks disappeared for a few stretches on the red loop. All in all, a little slow but pretty good and a beautiful day for skiing.

Full coverage but very soft conditions. Great to be out on real snow. Tracks throughout but occasional thin spots. Uphills on skate lanes were mashed potatoes. I would still recommend getting out even though slow going. Great to be on snow!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Greg and I groomed and tracked most of the system tonight. It's looking in pretty good shape, but in some low snow areas the track isn't great. Should set up nicely tonight and be wonderful for skiing tomorrow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
I went out this morning and groomed our "Improvised" Red to Green to Purple loop. Some sections are very good and a few short thin spots you may choose to dismount and walk through. The Brown and beginner loop are skiing very well! It's not over at Greenbush!

Amazing Greenbush. Brown trail fully groomed, fast and fun. Ventured out on Red to Green to Purple "Fun Loop." Not much fun and I don't recommend it to anyone except very experienced skiers that can deal with ice and looking for an adventure. Looks like it was groomed, but its frozen and hard. Had to double pole across several bare sections, but the trail is connected thanks to shoveling crew. Full Purple not skiable. No tracks at all anywhere. Thanks to everyone that helped make it very skiable with natural snow.

Ran Tiddtech over the brown and beginner loops and a route to the upper parking lot. The red to green to purple was not groomed, but should be skiable during the thaw.

Nordic heaven did not disappoint. Groomers have maintained brown loop in very good condition with no bare spots. Other trails are partially groomed, but marginal snow cover does reveal dirt in some areas. Thank you to all the volunteer groomers. We really appreciate your efforts to be able to ski this winter.

Fast, Firm and Fun, the three F's. Best B skiing of all time, despite temperatures in the upper 30's. 3 hours of pure bliss! The Greenbush grooming crew once again did an outstanding job providing great skiing outside of Lapham Peak! Wow! Pinch me 10 times. Heavenly. Thank You so much! Please consider leaving a nice donation as I did in the box by the signage. It really helps. Please note: The Ski Club is closing the trails on Thursday and Friday due to weather forecast. Please refrain from using the trails until colder weather arrives and the groomers can do their magic. Hopefully we get no/little rain and the groomers can get back to making the trails wonderful again.

A grand morning at Greenbush! Skate skiing at its best. The air temperature was below freezing when I arrived. The Kettle Moraine was covered with rime frost. It was like a fairy tale out there. The trails had been scratched up for skating except most of the red. The classic track was nonexistent in some places but you could find it in others. The skate deck is pretty clean thanks to our lack of strong winds. There are some bare spots but I could skate around them except at the power line. Many thanks to our groomers.
