Trails groomed yesterday. Skating in campground was good both kick and glide. Classic trails have held there snow nicely a bit slippery on the kick.

I was pleasantly surprised to find set tracks on the main look around the mound and back to the swimming pool. The downhill to the campground was quite manageable. I also crossed the road and did the Pleasant Valley loop. The south facing uphill was still in good shape. The snow was abrasive and it wore off my klister/kick wax combo after about 10 miles.

A gift of 3/4 inch of snow has the mound skiing really good. Tracks are good, excellent coverage except for the lower Ridgeview trail.

Skied classic on the red and blue trails; freestyle on campground loop. Red is preserved for classic skiers only. It was last groomed Feb 3rd, but the track remained in great condition. There was adequate snow coverage and barely any leaf litter. Blue trail and campground loop had a few barespots, especially on the first steep, icy downhill turn.

The trails had been freshly groomed after the warm weather earlier in the week. The tracks were good and the downhills had all been leveled. However, the downhills were firm, fast and somewhat icy leaving control on the downhills difficult. After falling four times on the slick downhills, I decided to walk partially or all the way down them to avoid falling (I'm too old to be falling). I skied the Blue, Orange, and Red Loops for a total of 15 kilometers.

Skated the campground and eyebrite trail. Good firm deck with a dusting of new snow falling. Trails were regroomed after the warm weather and the tracks looked good as well.

Joanie and I skied all the loops except for the Blue Trail early Saturday morning. The trails were groomed and tracked Friday morning and showed some wear from heavy use Friday afternoon. The tracks were still in good shape, but the first downhill and the downhill into the campground were getting hard-packed with some stubble showing. The tracks are thin in the pines on Pleasure Valley, so you may have to step around that area. Considering our lower-than-normal snowfall totals this winter, we feel lucky to get to ski here and always enjoy it.

Skied the orange loop (specifically Pleasure Valley Trail) Tuesday evening with temperatures in the low single digits. The conditions were quite good, probably the best of the season (thus far), though there was a bit of debris and pine needles near the end of the loop (after the picnic bench near the top of the hill).

Freshly groomed after the recent snowfalls. Very good conditions which nice tracks and no bare spots. A little slow because of the cold temps, but surprisingly firm considering the fluffiness of the snow.
