Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most ]
Most of the man-made loop was groomed early this morning, and new tracks were set. Conditions should be good. A portion of the man-made trail will remain closed today for some more snow being made, but there is a full loop open. Grooming plans: The entire man-made loop should be open by Sunday.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Skied the man-made loop 10 times. There's plenty of snow, it was groomed last night--fast but not too icy for good skating. Snow is dirty, especially in the pines.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Skied on the man made snow loop today. With about a 1/2 inch of natural snow it really wasn't bad. Icy under that snow that fell today but not badly rutted on the skate deck. There were a couple of other people out there in the tracks and said they were good. I don't think it would hold up to heavy traffic.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
All things considered the man-made snow had good glide this evening. Dirty, soft in places, and a few bare spots. As always, thanks to the snow makers and all the volunteers.

Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The man-made snow loops were unable to be groomed Saturday night due to warm temperatures and precipitation. I would expect a slushy surface Sunday. We plan to make snow again starting Wednesday night if the forecast does not change.

Great conditions considering the meltdown and freeze the last few days that formed ice. Groomers did outstanding job, big thanks to them. Happy and safe new year!

Morning
Firsthand: Both
[ Good skis ]
Surprisingly, very good conditions this morning. Full coverage on a fully covered skate deck. Very few "ice pond" areas, which are easily navigatable. Classic tracks well formed. Practically no debris on the trail. All manmade loop open.

The groomer reported good conditions and it was enjoyable. The few thin areas were easy to avoid. The bottom of the magic carpet was icy on the left so I needed to stay at the right to avoid. The skate deck was a little mushy but still OK.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Get it while you can. The man made snow loop lives again. The Piston Bully was out Friday night grooming the trail after an epic melt down. The worst areas were filled in and leveled. The skate deck was tilled and is in good condition with a few thin areas. New classic track was set and is in good condition. Don't know what the next few days will bring weather wise so ski it while you can. The good, the bad and the ugly.

Observation Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Due to the unseasonably warm temperatures, grooming is not possible for the time being. Unfortunately, conditions are poor and areas on the man made loops are already thin.
