Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Fair conditions for skate and stride on the manmade loops. Firm base that is softening a bit through the day. Many areas with debris. Some rutting in the skate deck. Striding tracks are a bit icy. However, there are some good spots, and there is plenty of manmade snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The man-made snow loops were groomed Wednesday night with the Ginzu. Tracks were left in place. The skate deck groomed out very nicely despite the warm temperatures. Lights will be on every day except for Sundays throughout the season.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The 1.1 mile man-made snow loop was in good condition with a wide skate deck with loose snow on top a hard base. Many skiers also were enjoying the tracks. We arrived at 10am at 33 degrees and left at noon at 40 degrees and the skìing was still good. Thanks to the snowmaking volunteers and piston bully groomers.

Andrew Straka and I had the Pisten Bully out late evening and early this morning. Mark and I are training Andrew, he will also be operating the Pisten Bully going forward. We tilled the skate deck and reset tracks on the entire man-made snow trail system. The DNR is still unable to groom off the man-made. Again, grooming with our sweet Pisten Bully, the trails are looking beautiful as we leave the park.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The snowmakers were out all day today and late into the evening adding snow to the thin areas on the man-made snow trails. I leveled all the snow that they made today then groomed, tilled, and reset tracks on our entire 2.4K man-made snow trails. The trails really turned out great and should ski really well tomorrow. The DNR is still not able to groom off the man-made trails. Happy skiing!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The Piston Bully was out at night grooming the man made snow loops. The skate deck was tilled and is in great shape. It really is leveling out. The classic tracks were left in place and looked to be in great shape as well. Grooming plans: The snow makers should be back at it again Monday adding to some of the low areas. Please give them plenty of room to do their work.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Excellent classic skiing in deep, solid tracks on the manmade loop at Lapham this afternoon / evening. Double-tracked for the whole loop, so easy to pass and be passed. I really appreciate the work of the crew for this opportunity to ski in excellent conditions in southern Wisconsin on Christmas day.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Skate deck was firm. I safely used my good skis, as any debris was just soft tree stuff and most of it easy enough to skate around. Tracks looked to be in good shape, with just a couple short areas seemed to be getting a little blown over from the winds and light snow. Temperatures and winds weren't bad, as long as you dressed properly.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
I had the Pisten Bully out this evening. As we continue to till and regroom the trail, it appears the skiing is getting better. I reset the tracks that the blowing snow had covered. Christmas day should be a wonderful day of skiing at Lapham. I'm not sure what the ski conditions are like off the man-made. From the seat of the PB as a pasted the intersections off the man-made, the coverage didn't look too good. Merry Christmas everyone and happy skiing into the new year!
